The client

The client is a French internet start-up looking to build an online portal where users can share their experience of restaurants in metropolitan European cities such as Paris and Barcelona.

The client needed to build a community-like portal where users could share their experience of restaurants, look-up restaurants via Google map and contribute content. The PHP web application has been developed by PHP programmers at LiteBreeze India using PHP and MySQL technologies..

Requirements and solution for PHP Restaurant Web Portal

The client wanted each restaurant to be assigned to categories such as 1) cuisine 2) area and of course 3) city. Based on this a user can search for restaurants serving a certain cuisine within a certain district of his or her city.

Other than the above, the ssers can download a restaurant's meny, read and write reviews, rate restaurants based on four different criteria, find its location via Google Maps and add the restaurant to his or her profile.
