The client is a European company looking to develop a classified ads site for a small and fast-growing Middle Eastern country.

Objective of Classified Ads Websites in PHP

The objective was to develop a neat and easy-to-use application as many of the target users have little experience working with websites. The client also wanted to design the site in a way that makes it easy to find items and to entice the user to continue browsing for items.

Solution - PHP Classified Ads Website

The site features AJAX powered search box where users select a category and subcategory after which a number of attributes specifically assigned to the subcategory appears in the search box.

The PHP web application has been developed by PHP developers at LiteBreeze India using PHP and MySQL technologies.. It features, among other things:

• A three step easy-to-use ad submission feature for both users and the admin.
• Dynamic assignation of attributes to ad subcategories, e.g. the attribute gearbox could be assigned to the subcategory cars.
• The search box on the ad listings pages are AJAX-powered and whenever a subcategory is select the attributes assigned to it by the admin will automatically be loaded
• Companies can sign up for their own virtual store featuring the ads they upload
